  1. very intuitive explanation. Now that I know that whats wrong and why its wrong, I should be to improve my serve much faster.

  2. I wish I found you yesterday. I spent three hours yesterday working on my serve only to eventually get to this conclusion in my technique . My arms are mad sore.

  3. Great explanation! My problem is the footwork and when to go up and hit the serve. Sometimes it's like I am jumping up at the ball, then other times I hit the ball over top of it. I've used the Western grip for serves for years, but I will start using the Continental. I usually use the Continental as a 2nd serve as a spin serve…I probably should just practice what you should though from now on.

  4. Perfect tennis teacher. Every information you give us is so helpful. Everything seems so natural using simple logic.

  5. Great assistance. Love the vids but the pro's use much, much heavier raquets than club players. This , as you know , has a HUGE influence on all strokes. Maybe a vid explaining and promoting this please ?

  6. Feel Tennis instructions are better than Tennis for Dummies. It breaks down better tennis understanding to the lowest common denominator. Where were these guys when I was in my 20s and had perfect working knees?
With Feel Tennis instructions I would have totally overhauled my game and been a beast on the court.

  7. High school coach had entire team throwing rackets straight overhead using continental grip. Big contest to see who could fling it highest. Then he introduced balls.

  8. Great!!! This is the best tutorial video bout serving skill improvement from beginner to advanced player. I have never seen this kind of explanation and I thank you very much. I now have better understanding how to serve. Other people also lectured well, but in the way that were kind of hard to imply with my level. But your video is totlly what I can do. Thanks again

  9. I cried watching this. I've been playing for 42 years with a badminton racket and just noticed that tennis rackets are different.

  10. I’m a teaching pro for 35 years and still play at the 5.0 level and extremely appreciate the quality of instruction provided by the excellent pro. Great job.

  11. Great , simple explanation. For weeks I've been "Hammering" a serve with no direction or consistent net clearance. Now I know why. 👍👍

  12. I started learning how to serve three years ago. I've practiced more than 100000
serves so far. Now I jump when making a serve. I pronate when hitting the ball. But I still struggle at first serve. It seems like a huge waste of time to try to make my serves better.
    So hard and exhausting.

  13. This amazing lesson is far much lightning the way we give power to our serve than the usual chronology of the serve.

  14. If you can smash in Badminton, you can easily serve in tennis. same technique like smashing in badminton and grip is same too. If I m not wrong.

  15. Server is not hard in execution is hard in make sure the opponent don't use it against you because it is telegraphed so the opponent can use it easy unless you make it super hard to use there is when it become hard.

  16. I dunno why I'm watching this coz I've never played tennis in my entire life, but great insight bro

  17. Great tutorial but it needed an explanation as to why the pros favour the continental serve over the forward facing serve

  19. Probably the reason why I gave up tennis😅.

After some years I’m gonna take it back, I like it so much and I was good at the rest of the movements.

  20. Great video. I serve really well but had never thought about all this stuff.. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  21. Ive been playing a ton of table tennis, they're so similar but so different. Now I know how to serve in tennis haha.

  22. Beautiful landscape! Is this in Slovenia or the Czech Republic? Could be Austria or Germany too but you seem to have an eastern european accent. Great video by the way, thanks a lot!

  23. It's quite similar to the clear in badminton. It was hard for me to adjust my aim when turning the racket to use pronation

  24. When you click on a title but the intro starts of with saying the most obvious things ever with the simple serve.

  25. it actually makes a lot of sense in badminton as well, as racket swing is similar as tennis serve.
I would even recommend this video to badminton beginners to understand how and why we hit the shuttle that way

  26. If you have a high athletic floor, in addition to some background in any other sport that requires throwing overhand, serving will become and remain easy. If not, it will always be a struggle, relative to those others I just mentioned.

  27. Good insight, but i think its very important that you point out that pronating with such speed without the follow through you did just 3 times, tennis elbow is just around the corner, so watch out guys!

  28. I also have been playing tennis for a long time. When was younger I was a 4.7 player, which is a pretty good club player. My serve was not bad. Not great, but decent I thought. Watching this video I realize that I was doing it all wrong all these years! I was making all the mistakes he talks about. I was trying to use a continental grip, but not really. And I tried to put spin on the ball but not really. I was doing what he told me people do, pushing with my shoulders, directing the serve, flat serve result. I got pretty good at doing it wrong! This video is the first video that makes me instantly visualize how to do it right! I wish I had seen this video 40 years ago! Never the less, at age 66 this video makes me want to learn a proper serve! I will try! As an aside, i realize everything he is saying also applies to the overhead smash, which is why my overhead never proceeded beyond "barely passable".

  29. Indian clubs are a great way to increase wrist and forearm strength. Also great for strengthening and loosening up the shoulders.

  30. wish I had a teacher like this when I was a young player! such a good break down of why tennis serve is executed like it is

  31. Really a Great video. Thank You because i understand because i don t use The pronation in My serve. Fantastic words And magnific exercices To improve our serve

  32. Where should your weight be at point of contact? Should it be moving forward or only rotating around a fixed access and moving up?

  33. The serve is not difficult just go out and practice take a couple hundred balls an work for 3 or 4 hours and your serve will get good ,just kidding….good point though..THANKS

  34. Super thanks.
I am an upper intermediate player but for the serve, just a beginner.
I have been disappointed. But at last, through this video clip, I've found the secret which no coach could teach ever. Thanks again!!
