Golf Club Review | Callaway Octane Black Driver

Right down the middle. Hi everybody, Donal
here from Golfbidder. We’re on the 17th hole at Fairmont St Andrews on our testing day.
Absolutely fantastic day, beautiful sunshine overlooking the town of St Andrews so be sure
to check out Fairmont St Andrews. Now Andy, you’ve come all the way from Finland. Welcome.
Now I’ve given you the Callaway Octane Black. Everybody is raving about this one, do you
like it? Yes. How about the finish first of al, the nice PDP black finish. It’s beautiful.
It looks so sexy when you’re on the tee box and you’re ready to hit. It’s a sexy driver?
Yeah it’s a sexy driver. Well it’s packed full of technology. Callaway have collaborated
with Lamborghini, the car manufacturer, to come up with this forged composite that is
light than titanium. It’s an extremely light driver. What they’ve done with the weight
they’ve saved, they’ve repositioned the centre of gravity to give it extra hit. Hyperbolic
face technology meaning you get a great hit even off-centre. You’ve been nailing it today
right? Callaway don’t really bother with the changing loft and lie angles. You go,
buy your driver and you hit it. You happy with that? It’s not my favourite driver but
it sits nicely in your hands. Looks good at address? Excellent. So that’s the Callaway
Octane Black. If you’re not into adjusting your lofts and lies and moveable swing weights
and you just want to get a driver to rip out there, 300 yards down the fairway try out
the Callaway Octane Black.
