Hi, I’m Vincent, and this is Menel We work, live and travel together in this van all year round the place where I spend another winter is Andalusia, a province in the south of Spain and today I want to tell you why I think this is the best place in Europe to spend the winter I will tell you and show you I’ll also say a few words about the Patronite Andalusia is obviously good weather The first time I came here, I checked with Google where the warmest place I can get my camper van to the result was Malaga in Andalusia And since I’m a cold all the time, the information that it’s the warmest in Europe was enough for me to come here And this is indeed one of the warmest places on our continent It is generally a little warmer in winter than in Greece, Cyprus or southern Portugal Sometimes there are some sporadic weather breakdowns or even storms, but usually do not last longer than a few days to a week. Usually in December, January, February there is sunshine and no clouds And there’s the temperature for lying on the beach and sunbathing There are no crowds on the beaches, but there are some people Mostly other nationalities outside Spain. A lot of Scandinavians, Englishmen Oh, you can also see that there are French… The beaches are neat, tidy The Spaniards also regularly mow the sand …with a harvester… But nice weather is not all Andalusia has to offer Imagine you’re warming up on the beach in the morning dressed only in shorts and two hours later you can get to the mountains – Sierra Nevada ski or snowboard and in the evening, back to the beach for example, chase pigeons a year ago I was skiing almost every week and I loved it very much I’m not driving anymore this year because once that van is having more and more trouble driving up the hill And I’m afraid that if it break down on some steep, winding mountain, it would be a big trouble The second reason is that there have been a few adventures like this that I have to save money now Oh, and maybe I’m so cleverly woven into the Patronite thread here. In your comments under the movie about the theft in Barcelona, you strongly suggested that I set up an account on Patronite That’s a service where viewers can deposit money To reward some Youtube creator. Well, because there’s not much of that money from the commercials I’m gonna make a video about finances in the van one day, it’ll show you how much the video has earned on commercials, it might be interesting. But I would like to refer to some of the comments and proposals that were made under this last film Concerning the collection to buy back stolen equipment the equipment turned out not to be really unnecessary to me I’m making videos with a phone anyway. Both myself and those b-rolls. And I guess I’d be afraid to buy a big, expensive camera again First, I’d be afraid they’d steal it from me again But secondly When I had this big, expensive camera, I didn’t want to carry it with me everywhere. And I always have the phone with me and when I see something interesting, I can shoot it right away I already bought a guitar, same brand. Two classes worse, but enough for the van. And from the orders I have, it’s so cool that I have enough fuel for the van and food. Neither I nor Menel are starving Although our appearance might suggest something else So I’m gonna leave the account number and the link to this Patronite under the videos But if you’re a poor student or have no job Or if you have other, better, for example, charity ideas for using that money, then don’t pay Then don’t click that link and forget I said that And why did I even set up this account I’ve had a long fight with my thoughts about whether to do it That if I ever want to be such a youtube maker by a big Tfu, full-time I’m still gonna have to somehow monetize this channel Well, for example, the music that I buy from the stocks By the way, the choice of music for movies is my favorite moment of making them and it takes me the most time. But this music is more expensive. With more and more subscribers, there is a growing price for these songs But don’t be shy, subscribe, go ahead… these costs are a little bit like a license for a video editing program and so on. So the money that’s going to be collected there They’ll be such a wonderful, quantifiable indicator of whether I can possibly give up on my previous job I’m just gonna make movies on youtube or it’s better not to risk and if youtube become just my hobby, it’ll be cool too Speaking of hobbies, let’s go back to the capital of flamenco, Andalusia the most popular hobby here is all kinds of water sports The water here is warm for the winter, but too cold for me. I’m always cold. There are showers on the beaches where you can rinse yourself when you get out of the water. But you can only use water, and for using a shampoo or other detergent you can get a fine You can also fish here I was visited by a friend of mine, Jose. He told me so much about fishing that I’m gonna make a separate short video about it. Well, all these attractions aren’t that expensive The food is delicious and I suspect it’s cheaper than on the Baltic Sea Renting apartments in winter is also cheap here In the description I leave the contact to Eliza, who is a Polish real estate agent in and around Malaga She speaks Polish, Spanish, Russian, English Rental, sale of real estate, daring driving a Volvo without a mirror – Eliza And if somebody travels with a camper van like me, there are plenty of places by the beach In winter, because it’s very crowded in the summer and there’s no room at all But in the summer, I’d wonder if it makes sense to come here at all Because it’s too hot and so very hot. And very crowded. Not for me, but maybe someone does. Concerning the parking of the camper at the beach All those beachside bars called chiringuitos open in early March And then you may be asked to change the place For example, by the police, who can come to you at night The nightlife here is a little different from ours. you can meet a magician here, for example The Spanish go out to clubs and bars very late at night At 22:00 the bar looks like this And at 1:00 at night it looks like this. And the next day, the siesta which means I shave, eat breakfast, go to bed Because from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., everything’s closed. This town is Bocairent, or so It’s not in Andalusia but right next door, in Valencia. But there are also many charming towns in Andalusia Their architecture reminds us that this land was under the influence of the Muslims for 800 years. Perhaps the most famous remnant of the Moors is the Alhambra, which lies just outside Granada. which is a wonderful palace and gardens I don’t have any pictures from there, but it’s great there and it’s worth a look. It is worth visiting the area around Granada, all the more so because there are many hot springs where you can swim. if someone likes weeds… I mean, nature, there are lots of parks and reserves around. only that the road to them sometimes leads over chasms … don’t look down, don’t look down, it’ll be fine, don’t look down down don’t look, don’t stop and down don’t look… Shrek! I’m looking down! I found an interesting city park in the Benalmadena. It is full of animals and from what I’ve heard, it was the Spaniards who left unwanted pets in this park and there are now signs to stop them from doing so Anyway, the park is full of different kinds of birds, turtles, rodents At one point there was a problem with the hens. They spread so much that they started to go outside the park. It started to bother the surrounding residents The workers managed to deal with this by distributing these hens, taking them to farms in the countryside. Well, that’s it, I just wanted to show you this neighborhood I’m still in Spain because I found a car I found the car and I’d like to give it back to the owners before I leave. But I’ll talk about it in the next movie. Hello!
