Bobbi Petersen, UNI Volleyball interview-Aug. 30 (3 of 3)

We wrap things up with UNI Volleyball coach Bobbi Petersen and coach your team once again named to the AVCA academic team honor and academics continues to be a stress for you and the team continues to respond. They do and that is something that this is what they are here for and to see their effort outside of the court is awesome. That is what they are here for. They work hard and challenge themselves academically as well as within the community so it is neat to see them recognized. for that. You open the season on the road this weekend. Your home season opens September 6th and 7th hosting Creighton, Kentucky, and USC always tough programs and it has been fun to see you battle a number of times but you get to host them this year. It is. And just the opportunity to bring a caliber tournament like that to the McLeod and just being able to play those teams on your home court is a great opportunity but we also look forward to show off what we have here, showing off our facility, University, this community, and the fan support that we have so we are hoping to get people the entire weekend for all of the matches with 3 on Friday and 3 on Saturday and if anybody loves volleyball in the state of Iowa should be here because you are going to see great competition in all of those matches so we are excited for that opportunity for a number of reasons and I know it is something our kids have been looking forward to sinc we put this on the schedule for the 4 team rotating tournament. So the Panthers will host Creighton, Kentucky, and USC. All of those teams are in the top 25 and the UNI Panthers receiving votes in the top 25. Should be an awesome weekend for college volleyball right here in the McLeod Center September 6th and 7th. That is all the time we have today for Panther Sports Talk. Thanks for watching!
