 Masters Flags

                            Unofficial White Masters

This flag was NOT produced or sold by Augusta National.  A collector in Ohio had about 100 of them made in the early 1990s.  The purpose of making them was to obtain autographs of past champions.  The flags were then mailed to past champions.  I have yet to see a single unsigned flag.  While this flag is not official, it can't exactly be considered fake either, as the gentleman who had the flags produced did so years before Augusta National even had the idea to sell flags.  The flag is still rare and desirable to serious collectors

Early 1990's Lightweight Masters Flag Trilogy

 Info in these flags below

  Masters Flag w/ Gold U.S.  (1993/ 1996)

The is a very rare White Masters flag with a gold United States.  It is the exact same as the Emerald Masters flag and the 1995 Yellow Masters flag, other than the colors.  The size and material are the same.  I have been told that the flag was sold in 1993 and again in 1996.

   1994 Emerald Masters

This is a very rare undated Emerald Masters flag.  The flag was sold during the 1994 Masters tournament.  The flag sold out rather quickly.  It sold for $14 at the tournament.

 1995 Yellow Masters Flag

This flag completes the lightweight Masters flag trilogy shown above.  These flags are very rare. This flag was sold during the 1995 tournament.

 1997 Masters Flag

This is the highly sought after 1997 Masters flag.  The 1997 Masters will most likely go down in history as the most important golf tournament of all time.  Young Tiger Woods dominated the field and the course while toppling many of Augusta's cherished records...This flag is one of the nicest flags ever produced.  The  center of the United States is completely embroidered.  This embroidered center was perfect for autographs.  No bleeding.  You got a perfect signature every time.  The flag is also thicker and more heavy-duty than today's Undated Masters flags.  This flag was only sold in 1997.  Unsigned 1997 flags are difficult to find.

Undated Yellow Masters

This continues to be the most popular Masters flag.  This flag was last at the 2002 Masters Tournament. Undated flags were first sold at the 1998 tournament.  While the 1998 Undateds have slightly different stitching, most collectors haven't differentiated between the flags all that much.   A must have for anyone wanting pre-1999 Masters Champions autographs.  Flags measure approximately just less than 13" x 17 3/4".

                                Unsigned Value: $150

    1999 Yellow Masters

This was the first year that a Masters flag came with a date.  Almost all pre-1999 Masters items were undated.  Olazabal won this tournament.  All yellow Masters flags are approximately 13" x 17 3/4", give or take less than 1/4" on each side All yellow Masters flags are also embroidered and come with a small "Made In China" tag on the back.      Unsigned Value: $50-$65

       2000 Yellow Masters

Vijay Singh won the 2000 Masters.  Like the other yellow Masters flags, it has a small Made In China tag on the back.  My 2000 Masters flag measure just less than 13" x 17 3/4".

 Unsigned Value: $45-$60

2001 Yellow Masters

Unsigned Value: $55-$75

 2002 Masters flag

This flag sold out quickly at the 2002 tournament.

Unsigned Value: $75-95

 2003 Masters Flag

Unsigned Value: $45-$65

 2004 Masters Flag

The 2004 Masters flag has become extremely difficult to find.  And when one is offered for sale, they have been selling at a premium.  Rare flag + Mickelson victory = a very pricey recent Masters flag.

Unsigned Value: $100-$150

 2005 Masters Flag

The 2005 Masters flag sold out on Wednesday morning - before the Tournament had even begun.  And then Tiger Woods went on to win the tournament.  Surprisingly, this flag has not risen much in value in the months following the tournament.  Expect this flag to rise in value the further away from 2005 we get.

Unsigned Value: $35-$45
